The Houston Ride for Kids is coming up this Sunday (5/1/11) and, barring an act of God, I will be there. This is a great event and a great charity that I have been blessed enough to attend for the last two years. I even posted on last year's ride: http://www.backroadsbuddha.com/2010/05/ride-for-kids.html
If you have never participated and can possibly make it out...do so.
Update: Former World Champion and racing legend Kevin Schwantz will be attending the Houston Ride for kids! One more great reason to come out and support a great cause.
If you can't make it consider helping me raise some money for a really worthy charity: http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/BackroadsBuddha/2011houstonrideforkids
Hang in there

If I was close I'd run this with you. Looks like a worthy event, best of luck making it a good one.

Dear Buddha:
ReplyDeleteI will be riding the Pediatric Brain Tumor Run in Philadelphia, this year. It feels good riding to do good.
Fondest regards,

Brady,
ReplyDeleteThere is a Ride for Kids in Richmond VA on June 5th. Link
This is an amazing charity and well worth the time.

Jack,
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome.
Tell you what, I raised just over $300 this year between the First Giving web site and cash from co-workers and friends. Make $350 and I will send you a bottle of Texas Rum or Vodka (your choice). Break $500 and I will send a bottle of each.
You rich BMW riders should be able to raise that just selling coffee from the built-in espresso machines...
Consider it a challenge!
:-)
